    We use computer systems everyday, and whether we intentionally go into websites to browse or go on social medias or not, without us knowing, many apps and devices like TVs, tablets, mobiel phones exchange information. As a lot of data can be exchanged online and can also be exposed, and as there are always security holes that come up, one needs to always make sure the os is up to date. The computer systems can be vulnerable to hacking or robbery(with leaked location information), and more so.   There are a lot of security threats of computer systems, for instances, viruses and malware, data  breaches, internet scams and spams. For each threat, malware’s symptom would be showing slow system performance as stealing information is happening and even rendering the system unusable.   A Day using word processing application Word At my work we use Word processing applications to create procedures and logging my team’s work for taking care of inquiries that flew in from customer representatives and branch representatives, as I am in the back office wire transfer team. For the procedure creating, we do use these functions: Indent function for automatic indentation for certain parts Different fonts Different size of the fonts , and boldness For the procedure that is ommitted, in the process of modifying it, we use th e underline or highlight .   Hello class,  Hello class,  Ping and traceroute  are used for troubleshooting internet connection problems. This shows a clear picture of how a packet travels through a network. When you compare the ping command results, you can see the differences between the domain address' ping results depending on where they are based on, geologically. Here is the result from google.com. You can see the minimum was 5 ms, and maximum 6ms. all the packets sent were also received, made a round trip without any lost packet, that means they were successful in making through the network.  I tried this  website called "naver.com" from Korea. This is a Korean website but the domain contains .com for the address, and its result made it through and received without losing packets. The difference is the travel time. the round trip timed was interesting, when I thought google should take shorter(as I am located in U.S), naver.com showed way faster time result than google.   I reviewed the   app "MINDBODY".  This is an This is an  app is for all-in-one type platform for those who look for fitness or martial arts classes nearby.  This is location  based service and they provide the deals that they have with the facilities. I happened to download the app to use a promotion deal for a pilates class. Once I booked a class from the location, the app will send you an automated email letting me know when the class is going to happen, and send me reminders when the class is coming up, you can book more classes and also look for other classes around you with different categories.    1. Usability  This app is  pretty straightforward and intuitive. You would not really need an instruction or manual to use this app and play with it. I was able to make a dog and cat have a conversation about eating food, putting a muffin between them, with munching sound using Scratch. I have never used Scratch and I am not familiar with the coding knowledge. But with Scratch, it was easier for me to understand how the coding works. I was not able to put the sprites together in one screen, and it was not too clear for me to organize the order of the events well. I looked up tutorials again to solve the problems. I have learned more about how the computer understands from programming through this exercise and thought it could be more fun and accessible than I thought. Comparing to what I have gone through in the text book sections 2.8 to 2.11, on the text book, Scratch provides and lets the user use the high level language as the user can understand what would be expected when the computer executes the commands in Scratch, whereas machine language is lower level and hard to understand for the user(usually).
